A candle is always nice to have around your home. Candles add a decorative touch to any home and if you choose a scented candle, your home will smell as wonderful as it looks. There are a wide variety of candles available on the market, and you can find scents that you are sure to love. In addition, you can make a candle holder to fit almost any type of candle in your home. Here are some easy to make candle holders that you can make.
Jar Votive Candle Holder: You can use any size glass jar you have around your home to make beautiful and ornate candle holders. If you want to use tea light candles, then consider collecting several small baby food jars that you can decorate. Larger pillar candles will work well in larger sized jars. In order to make this craft, you will need jars, small paint brushes (from paint brushes work particularly well for this craft), tissue paper in any colors that you choose, and regular glue or Mod Podge glue. Begin making this candleholder by thoroughly cleaning and drying out the glass jar. You will also want to make sure that all parts of the label is removed before making this craft. Next, choose your tissue paper and cut or tear the tissue paper into small squared pieces. Now you will begin gluing the tissue paper on the outside of the jar until it is completely covered. You can layer the tissue paper to give it a stained glass look. Cover the tissue paper with your glue and let it dry. After it has dried, place the candle inside, and you now have an easy and inexpensive candleholder. Wooden Candle Holder: If you would like to make a candleholder for tall tapered candles, then here is an easy project. For this project will need several napkin rings in various sizes and shapes. You will also need a strong brand of wood glue. Stack the napkin rings on top of each other until they form a pattern that you like. Glue the candle holders, together using the wood glue. Now you can even leave the candle holders just they way they are, or you can sand and paint the candle holders to match your décor. There are so many other types of candle holders that you can make for your home. After you have made several of these candle holders, you may want to give them away as gifts.
